The verdict

Nova has Jordan Love, 141st overall, QB, GB, Tier 7, -22 VORP, 276.9 projected PPR points, 17.5 PPR points per game. Current PPR ADP is 141.2, so Nova is close to the room on price. The modeled PPR range runs from 86 to 415 points.

Editorial preseason rankings are shown separately from directional model projections, VORP, and tiers.

Rankings updated September 7. The analysis below is under review after the ranking-model correction. Its older finish probabilities and draft recommendations are not current. Use the updatedrankings board for draft decisions.

Where He's Expected to Land

The median sim gives Love 254 points across 15.4 games, 16.46 per game, with a projected finish band of QB9 to QB32. That band is the honest version of every "high-end QB2" blurb: the middle of his distribution is a backup you sometimes start; the edges reach a locked-in QB1 and a waiver drop.

Format matters: Tier 7 in PPR, Tier 7 standard, Tier 7 in 2QB/Superflex on Nova's board. Weekly shape: 30% boom weeks (20+ points), 54% solid, 16% bust, the S-grade DNA says he's steadier week to week than the tier label implies.

The 2026 outlook is built on the current rank, tier, VORP, and distribution, not on last year's weekly scoring pace.

The Last Three Seasons

Year Team Games PPG QB Finish
2023 GB 17 18.8 QB5
2024 GB 15 15.6 QB15
2025 GB 15 15.7 QB15

(Per FantasyData; finishes shift a spot or two by scoring format, FantasyPros' Derek Brown logs the last two as QB17/QB16.)

The table reads like decline. The underlying line doesn't. In 2025 Love completed 66.3% for 3,381 yards, 23 TDs, and just 6 picks, a 101.2 rating and his cleanest ball-security season as a starter, per StatMuse. What the table hides is the denominator: 439 pass attempts, seventh-fewest in the NFL. Two straight QB15 finishes are what an efficient passer produces when his team stops asking him to throw.

What Changed for Him This Offseason

For Love himself: almost nothing, and that's the point. No contract fight, no surgery, no new city, he turns 28 in November, prime-age, entering year four as the starter in the same system. The stability shows up in the interception count and the S-grade DNA.

What Changed Around Him

The environment moved more than he did.

Coaching: Matt LaFleur kept Adam Stenavich at offensive coordinator after Stenavich drew OC interest from Robert Saleh's Titans, per Bill Huber of Packers On SI (Jan. 25, 2026). Continuity cuts both ways: this staff's 2025 offense ranked 15th in yards and 16th in points, down from 5th and 8th in 2024, with yards per carry cratering from 6th to 24th. The same staff also improved third-down conversions from 15th to 2nd, the efficiency is there when they let Love work.

Receivers: Green Bay finally thinned the six-man receiver rotation. Romeo Doubs signed with New England and Dontayvion Wicks was traded to Philadelphia, concentrating targets on Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and second-year first-rounder Matthew Golden. Target concentration is historically good for QB efficiency, and bad for QB durability of output if Watson or Reed miss time again, because the depth behind them is Savion Williams, Skyy Moore, and Bo Melton.

Tight end: Tucker Kraft is rehabbing the ACL tear that ended his 2025 season. Kraft told reporters in June he's ahead of schedule, better than expected, minimal swelling, quad strength back, per Total Packers (June 12, 2026), with growing expectations of a full workload by Week 1.

O-line: Green Bay extended Sean Rhyan (3 years, $33M) at the center spot he took over after Elgton Jenkins' injury and re-signed swing tackle Darian Kinnard, per ESPN's free agency tracker. Stability, not upgrade.

What They're Saying

Love told reporters in June the offense is deliberately funneling work to the top of the depth chart: "Rome and Wicks are gone, not in the offense anymore. So there's gonna be a lot more opportunities for these guys… to get a lot more reps," as reported by Wendell Ferreira of A to Z Sports (June 15, 2026), adding the offense is dangerous when Watson, Reed, and Golden share the field.

Derek Brown of FantasyPros (July 6, 2026) made the volume case directly, noting Love ranked 8th in yards per attempt and 5th in hero-throw rate among 38 qualifying QBs last year: "Love's QB2 production is priced into his ADP; his upside as a QB1 is not."

Does Nova already price this in? Partly. The 254-point median assumes roughly last year's volume (3,572 projected pass yards on a 94% snap share). The pass-rate pivot lives in the right tail, which is exactly where the 448-point ceiling comes from.

The Buzz

The fantasy internet has quietly rotated from post-hype fade to late-round lever: Fantasy Life named him an early 2026 QB sleeper in March, and Locked On's Packers fantasy show is openly asking whether he's a sleeper QB1. The crowd is warming but still drafting him at 130, behind where Nova ranks him. Buzz and model point the same direction; the price hasn't moved yet.

Swing Factors

  • Pass-rate pivot (+50–60 pts): 439 attempts was 7th-fewest in the league. League-average volume alone pushes his efficiency profile from QB15 toward the QB9 end of Nova's band.
  • Kraft's knee (±25 pts): ahead of schedule in June, but a first-year-back ACL at a position Love leans on in the red zone.
  • Watson/Reed availability (−30 pts if it repeats): the thinned receiver room has no proven fourth option.
  • Rushing floor (small, negative): 180 projected rush yards on 3.1 carries a game and 6 red-zone opportunities. He gives you nothing with his legs; every point must come through the air.
  • Schedule: Nova lists early-season SOS at 22 (tagged "soft" on the page) and playoff SOS at 16. The scale's direction isn't yet documented on player pages, so we report the values without a lean.

If Everything Goes Right / If Everything Goes Wrong

If everything goes right: Stenavich lifts the pass rate to league average, the three-man receiver core stays upright, Kraft is full-go by September, and the 5%+ TD-rate passer with 439 attempts becomes the same passer with 540. That's the 448-point ceiling, a top-3 QB season Nova prices at 19%, with a 37% shot at tier-2 or better.

If everything goes wrong: Green Bay stays a run-first team, Watson misses another chunk of the season, Kraft's workload gets managed into November, and Love turns in a third straight clean-but-capped year, or an injury drags him toward the 92-point floor. The weekly bust rate is 16%, lowest-risk-looking number on the page, but the season-level downside is that you drafted a QB22 you never start.

Nova's Edge

There's no market prop table on Love's page yet, so the edge here is Nova vs. the industry. The consensus take, "solid QB2," per RotoBaller and the FantasyPros crowd, describes his median and stops. Nova's board says the median is worth pick 107 while the room pays pick 130, because a 30% weekly boom rate and a 19% tier-1 probability are not QB2 numbers at that price. The −-22 VORP is the honest counterweight: in a 1QB league he's below replacement as a set-and-forget starter. You're not drafting a starter; you're drafting a 19% lottery ticket with a 54% solid-week base to fall back on.

One bookkeeping flag: rank 107 vs. ADP 141.2 is a 23-pick gap; the page displays +28. We publish both until the math is reconciled.

The Bottom Line

In 12-team 1QB leagues, Love is a round-10–12 pick who should be your QB2 behind an earlier starter, or half of a late-round QB committee, never your unbacked QB1 before round 9. In superflex he slides (Tier 8), because his median doesn't clear the bar that format sets for onesie positions. Best-ball drafters should be more aggressive than redraft players: the 30% boom rate is exactly what that format monetizes.

The gradeable claim: Nova gives Love a 37% chance at a tier-2-or-better season and 19% at tier-1. If Green Bay's pass attempts climb past 500, we expect the top of that range, and we'll grade it in public in January.
