Then he reversed course: NFL.com reported he'd attend mandatory minicamp, and cameras caught him saying it directly during minicamp week, "I want to be in New England for the rest of my career," Boutte said, via CBS Boston (week of June 7, 2026). Two days later, Boston.com quoted him again: "I do want to be here" (June 9, 2026). As of Nova's live page, he's still rostered in NE. This is where the real damage happened. New England lost Stefon Diggs in free agency, then made the offseason's biggest receiver move league-wide, trading two draft picks to Philadelphia for A.J.
