Waiver Wire and Trending

Waiver Wire and Trending are NovaPredict's in-season pickup tools. Waiver Wire surfaces players worth adding. Trending tracks who is rising and who is falling. The job of both tools is the same hard problem stated two ways: separating real breakouts from noise. A big week is easy to see; whether it means anything is the question. These tools apply NovaPredict's core discipline, which starts from the betting market as the baseline and treats every player as a range of outcomes rather than a single number, to the weekly churn of the waiver wire.

What It Does

• Waiver Wire surfaces pickup candidates for your roster.
• Trending shows rising and falling players, in both directions, so fading players are visible alongside breakouts.
• Both tools work to separate real breakouts from noise, so one loud box score does not automatically make a player a priority add.
• Both sit inside NovaPredict's in-season toolset alongside Weekly Projections, Injury Watch, and the Lineup Optimizer.

What It Does Not Do

• It does not chase box scores. A player trending up on NovaPredict reflects the tool's read of the situation, not just last week's points.
• It does not claim a historical hit rate on waiver recommendations. NovaPredict publishes no backtested accuracy numbers; the public record starts Week 1 of the 2026 season.
• It does not submit waiver claims for you. It identifies candidates; you make the claim in your league platform.

Status

Live now as part of the in-season toolset. The graded public record of NovaPredict's in-season projections is pending and begins Week 1 of the 2026 season, at which point weekly calls become part of the public accountability record.
