Compare JSN, Gibbs, Bijan and Kittle with saved preseason yardage expectations. Separate what is banked from what still has to happen.
Your fantasy football season pace check should separate what a player has already produced from the season you expected in August. Jaxon Smith-Njigba has 717 receiving yards through six games. Jahmyr Gibbs has 504 rushing yards through five. Both are ahead of the simple pace needed for the preseason yardage lines in our saved September 7 snapshot.
Bijan Robinson provides the more interesting split. He has 641 rushing yards but only 144 receiving yards through six games. His rushing production is ahead of that old expectation's pace; his receiving production is well behind it. You can value the player highly while being precise about which part of the original story has arrived.
