Fantasy Football Draft Value: The Five-Week Nova Budget Audit

Audit 98 players against draft cost and Nova Budget. Separate earned breakouts, injury losses, fragile scoring and roles that need to recover.

Your fantasy football draft value has two receipts: the price you paid and the points you received. Neither tells you, by itself, what to do next. A player can fall behind because he missed games, because his role shrank, or because the original expectation was wrong.

Nova Budget is our preseason estimate of the fantasy points a player will deliver over the full season, in your scoring format. Expected availability is part of that season expectation. We use it to put a points value behind a ranking and keep a fixed reference for judging what actually happens. It is an expectation, not a guarantee or a limit on what a player can score.

Jayden Daniels makes the distinction clear. He sits QB22 by total points through Week 5, yet his points per appearance essentially match his original Nova Budget pace. Treating him like a quarterback who played five poor games would answer the wrong question.

We audit 98 players against their original budgets and draft cost, then explain which gaps deserve patience and which require a different valuation. All scoring is half PPR. No Week 6 results enter this report.
